Winter Solstice Mixtape

In commemoration of the winter solstice, in support of local artists, and in attempt to encourage people to listen to music in a way other than streaming -- we made a mixtape.

The mixtape is a physical CD with an hour-long mix of tracks which span from ambient to hip-hop to acoustic. About half the tracks are by local (NYC-based) artists; the other half were submitted by friends & supporters of The Tea Stand.

Each artist was contacted for consent to use their track. When we received a reply, we offered them a portion of the revenue from donations. When we didn't, we purchased the track via BandCamp, or if necessary, iTunes.
